Located in south of France in département of Pyrénées-Orientales, in the hard of Agly valley, the 80 producers of Caramany make wines through the AOC “Côtes du Roussillon Village Caramany”. The village of CARAMANY (who meaning «Great Rock»,150 people) dominates its vineyard, made up of three principal varieties: old-vine Carignan, Grenache and Syrah planted on gneiss slopes and granite amphitheatres. This village with an altitude of 242 m, also dominates a lack (Agly’s dam) where during the summer’s mornings, vines on slopes are reflecting on the calm water. The life is rural and centered around the culture of vines. The alliance of a grapes varieties and the terroir who is benefiting from an exceptional exposure, plus the variations of temperature between cool nights and very sunny days throughout the length of the grapes’ growing season, creates authentic and IRRESISTIBLE FLAVOURS and make wines of CARAMANY special. We are always happy when people discover our spicy, fruity and velvety wines, offering harmonious and luscious tannins. We like to receive in our village, the gourmet walkers for all over the world.
